  • Platform AI labels and posting disclosures are controlled outside the local image file.
  • Visual artifacts, pixel fingerprints, and invisible pixel-level watermarks are not removed.
  • A cleaned metadata result cannot guarantee how a person, model, or platform will classify an image.

What does an AI tag remover remove?

MetaScrub removes recognized supported AI-related metadata stored inside JPEG, PNG, and WebP images, including applicable provenance blocks and AI-tagged fields.

Can it remove an AI tag without deleting EXIF?

Choose AI provenance only. That mode keeps EXIF, including GPS, while removing recognized AI provenance and AI-tagged metadata.

Will it remove an Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook AI label?

It can change supported file metadata only. Each platform controls its own label, disclosure, and detection decisions, so no label outcome is guaranteed.

Does an upload use a free clean?

No. Adding and inspecting an image does not use a free clean. A free clean is counted only after an eligible image is successfully cleaned.
